Trichocereus cactus typically grow between 10-20ft tall in the wild with the tallest recorded specimen reaching 40ft. While Peruvian Torch is not as well known as San Pedro it's widely believed to be most powerful of the Trichocereus family. Sacred cacti have been used continuously for over 3,000 years in the Andean Mountains region. Peyote is considered one of the four principal deities of the Huichol religion and it's use dates back over 5,000 years. San Pedro is named after St Peter who holds the keys to heaven as the cactus is believed to allow one to reach heaven while still on earth.

Description

Mimosa tenuiflora (mimosa hostilis) is a plant known as Jurema, Jurema Preta, Black Jurema, and Vinho de JuremaMimosa tenuiflora root bark contains high amounts of tannins and pigments.

Parts of the tree are traditionally used in northeastern Brazil in a psychoactive decoction also called Jurema or Yurema.

Our mimosa hostilis root bark (MHRB) is farmed in Brazil which helps avoid over-harvesting of wild plants.

Note: We also sell shredded root bark from Mexico.
